A full-time substitute position of a nursery school teacher is available for the period 12 August 2025 to 12 June 2026 / Un poste de remplacement à temps plein d’enseignant(e) en maternelle est à pourvoir pour la période du 12 août 2025 au 12 juin 2026.
Nursery teacher is responsible for teaching the early education program in a multi-lingual class (all instruction through French) according to the European Schools curriculum to pupils from N1 to N2 (4 and 5 years of age) in nursery school as well as for communication with parents. The job entails a close collaboration with colleagues from different language sections (Finnish and English) in a dynamic, international team. Teaching hours are from Monday to Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
L’enseignant(e) en maternelle est responsable de l’enseignement du programme d’éducation préscolaire dans une classe multilingue (tous les cours étant dispensés en français), conformément au programme des Écoles européennes, auprès d’élèves de N1 à N2 (âgés de 4 et 5 ans). Il/elle est également chargé(e) de la communication avec les parents.
Le poste implique une étroite collaboration avec des collègues issus d’autres sections linguistiques (finnois et anglais) au sein d’une équipe dynamique et internationale.
Les heures d’enseignement sont du lundi au vendredi de 8h15 à 14h30.

The qualifications of a nursery teacher are governed by the provisions on pre-primary teacher qualification in the Teaching Qualifications Decree (986/1998).
Experience in teaching and working in the field of early education. Language proficiency: mother tongue in French language. Language skills in English and/or Finnish languages. Work experience in an French speaking daycare of preschool.
Les qualifications requises pour un(e) enseignant(e) en maternelle sont régies par les dispositions relatives aux qualifications des enseignants de l’enseignement préprimaire énoncées dans le décret sur les qualifications des enseignants (986/1998).
Expérience dans l’enseignement et le travail dans le domaine de la petite enfance. Maîtrise de la langue : français langue maternelle. Compétences linguistiques en anglais et/ou en finnois. Expérience professionnelle dans une garderie ou une école maternelle francophone.
