We are looking for a Researcher or a Senior researcher to work in a project investigating species responses to climate change using distribution and phenological data.
Join us to strengthen our expertise in biodiversity data analysis and enhance our ability to meet the growing demand for nature-related information. The title and the required level of expertise for the position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and skills.
The responsibilities of the Researcher / Senior researcher include conducting research on biodiversity change and its drivers; participating in the development of biodiversity data research methods; and acquiring research funding. As Senior research scientist you will independently coordinate subprojects, however in mutual understanding with the PI. You will also take part in preparing funding applications as PI or work package leader. As Researcher you will work on tasks related to the project with the aim of producing scientific publications, either idenpendently or in collaboration with other researchers. You will also take part in preparing funding applications.
Your main tasks as a Researcher / Senior researcher will include applying species distribution models using occurrence data and phenological data, for example, through hierarchical modeling of species communities (HMSC) and other community modeling approaches.
