The position of part-time and temporary nursery teacher in the English section of the European School of Helsinki, starting from October 21st, 2024, is open for applications.
Nursery teacher is responsible for teaching the early education program in a multi-lingual class (all instruction through English) according to the European Schools curriculum to pupils from N1 to N2 (4 and 5 years of age) in nursery school as well as for communication with parents. The job entails a close collaboration with colleagues from different language sections (Finnish and French) in a dynamic, international team. Teaching hours are from Monday to Thursday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The qualifications of a nursery teacher are governed by the provisions on pre-primary teacher qualification in the Teaching Qualifications Decree (986/1998).
Experience in teaching and working in the field of early education. Language proficiency: mother tongue in English language. Language skills in French and/or Finnish languages. Work experience in an English speaking daycare of preschool.
