    Apply for an internship at the Finnish National Agency for Education!

    The task of the Finnish National Agency for Education EDUFI is to develop education and training, early childhood education and care as well as lifelong learning, manage the service and administrative tasks related to these, and anticipate competence and training needs. The Agency supports the internationalisation of Finnish society and promotes Finnish education globally.

    This internship is in the Unit for International Promotion of Education and the Finnish Language. The unit coordinates international visits to EDUFI, provides presentations on EDUFI’s work and Finland’s education system, promotes Finland as a study destination for prospective students, strengthens the global presence of the Finnish language and culture, and contributes to a range of internationalisation and communications activities. Unit is also responsible for coordinating EDUFI traineeship for higher education students and recent graduates.
    We are seeking a higher education student to join us as an intern and support a broad set of tasks related to internationalisation. Each year, we host approximately 100–150 delegations interested in learning about the Finnish education system. These delegations range from ministerial representatives to teacher groups, researchers, and other education professionals. The selected candidate will play a central role in planning and facilitating these visits, presenting our work and the Finnish education context, and ensuring a high‑quality experience for diverse international audiences. The internship will also involve communications and digital marketing responsibilities, as well as general administrative tasks. We are also eager to hear about your personal interests and strengths and are open to tailoring the tasks accordingly.

    The intern will be involved in following tasks:
    • Organising and coordinating EDUFI´s international visits and study visits
    • Administrative tasks (including invoices and documentation)
    • Digital marketing and other communications-related work
    • Assisting in the organisation of events (internal and external; online and onsite)
    • Other tasks falling within the unit’s area of responsibility

    There are no statutory qualification requirements for the position.

      You are a higher education student. We are looking for an intern with strong communication and coordination skills. An interest in the Finnish education sector is essential, and studies or experience in education or communications will be considered an advantage. Experience in managing social media channels and producing professional-level content is also beneficial. We value a willingness to develop administrative skills and the ability to work comfortably in a multicultural environment. A good command of English is required, and knowledge of additional languages is an asset. The position is suitable for candidates who do not speak Finnish, but we appreciate enthusiasm for learning or improving Finnish language skills. Strong teamwork abilities, motivation to promote Finland internationally, as well as initiative, creativity, and a positive working attitude are highly valued qualities for this role.
      Candidates without previous study-related work experience will be prioritised.

        Candidates selected for an interview will be notified no later than Monday of week 12 at 12:00. Interviews will be held during the same week at the premises of the Finnish National Agency for Education, Hakaniemenranta 6. The final decision will be announced by Friday, 20 March.
