Intern (petrophysics)
The Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) is looking for an intern for the Geophysical Solutions unit, Geophysical laboratory. Your office is in Espoo. Your task will be especially in the Geoenergy Leap project that promotes usage of geothermal energy. You will be doing geophysical laboratory measurements as well as data processing in the office. At least one field trip will be included to your summer. Geophysical Solutions unit is a multi-method, multi-located and multicultural team, offering you diverse tasks. You will work in the Ores and bedrock team of 12 experts.
GTK’s summer intern positions are targeted for graduate students that have not yet graduated.

What we expect
• You study geophysics, geology, physics or other applicable subject at university level.
• You are familiar with common office programs.
• You can work in English.
We appreciate
• Driving license
• Skills in using Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS)
• Geophysics as the main study subject
Personal characteristics
You can work with different people. You adapt to work in different environments from field to laboratory. After orientation you are self-initiated and independent in your work.
