Governing Body of Suomenlinna

The Governing Body of Suomenlinna is a government agency operating under the Ministry of Education and Culture. We restore, maintain, administer, and provide information about Suomenlinna, internationally valued sea fortress. It is one of the seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Finland, and one of the most popular places to visit. Suomenlinna is also a lively neighborhood in Helsinki with 800 inhabitants.

We offer a unique, inspiring work environment and organization. We work in a historic environment in collaboration with an extensive network. The Governing Body of Suomenlinna consists of four operational units: Maintenance Services, Restoration Services, World Heritage Services and Administrative Services.
