The Finnish Education Evaluation Centre (FINEEC) is an autonomous and independent evaluation agency responsible for the external evaluation of education and training and early childhood education and care in our country.

It operates as a separate unit within the Finnish National Agency for Education in the administrative branch of the Ministry of Education and Culture. FINEEC’s evaluations cover the entire education system from early childhood education and care to higher education. FINEEC employs around 50 people. We implement evaluations at all education levels, including thematic and system evaluations, learning outcomes evaluations, and audits of quality systems.

Our experts act as project managers and evaluation planners and in other roles in the evaluation projects. Through our evaluations, we produce information for the development of education and training and early childhood education and care, for education providers to use and to support decision-making.

In addition, our task is to support the different actors in the education sector on issues related to evaluations and quality management. We publish results and development recommendations through many communication channels and on social media platforms.
