Are you a cloud tech specialist who understands data pipelines and data lakes? We are looking for a developer in the role of Data Engineer for a permanent position in the IT and Digitalisation service group.
Luke has numerous resource platforms, including research barns, aquaculture farms, and research forests and fields equipped with monitoring instrumentation, producing a diverse set of data streams from sensors and IoT devices. Together with our researchers, we are at the forefront of developing digital tools for the industry and society in Finland and abroad, promoting the sustainable use of natural resources.
As a Data Engineer you will design, develop, and maintain the cloud-based infrastructure and systems necessary to store, process, and analyse data from research platforms and other data sources at Luke. You will collaborate with data managers who support Luke's personnel in data governance.
Successfully managing the task requires a relevant higher education degree (e.g., Master of Science or Engineering in Information Technology, Master of Science in Information Systems, Bachelor of Engineering or IT Business Professional) or demonstrated work experience in similar roles. We also consider applicants in the final stages of their studies.
