    The European School of Helsinki is looking for a part-time German teacher for a fixed term position for 18.8.2026-31.7.2027.

    We are looking for a part-time German teacher for a fixed term position. The teacher will teach German at the Primary and Secondary level according to the European Schools curriculum. The job entails a close collaboration with colleagues from different language sections (English, Finnish and French language sections) in a dynamic, international team as well as regular communication with guardians.

    Qualifications of the teaching staff are stipulated in the Government Decree on European Schooling Helsinki 15/2008.

    The applicant must provide an extract from the criminal record in accordance with Article 6, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Records Act (770/1993), the Act on the Investigation of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002).

      Pedagogical degree in German language teaching, diverse experience in primary education. Language skills: German at native level. Knowledge of multiculturalism, experience in international work communities, the European School system, good cooperation skills and diverse language skills are considered an advantage, as the work requires cooperation with teachers from other language sections (Finnish, French and English language sections).

    • European School of Helsinki is a state school which started its operation in autumn 2008. There are three language sections in the school: English, French and Finnish.
