    The National Emergency Supply Agency (NESA) is a central government agency operating in the administrative branch of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland. The NESA supports other authorities, businesses and organisations in maintaining and developing security of supply and plans and implements preparedness measures to safeguard security of supply in the event of and during severe disruptions and emergencies.

    We are a specialist agency with approximately 100 experts in different fields. Our mission is to work together with businesses, third sector parties and public authorities to build a crisis-resistant society so that Finnish society will keep functioning and life will continue with minimal disruptions even in the event of a crisis.

    Our field of work is diverse, including tasks related to material preparedness, such as stockpiling and contractual preparedness arrangements, for example. We produce situational awareness, conduct operating environment analyses and participate in international preparedness work. Our cooperation networks are extensive and we engage in a wide range of cross-administrative and cross-regional preparedness and contingency cooperation.
